OLBIA
Olbia is located in the north-eastern part of the Italian island of Sardinia. It is a cosy, smaller city with just about 60.000 inhabitants. You will find it just south of the famous Emerald Coast of Sardinia, Costa Esmeralda. You often see people jumping in the water directly from the rocks where there are stairs to the ocean and pontoons in the water to sit on.
The more child-friendly beaches are near San Teodoro south of Olbia, and besides the white sand, you can find many different water activities.
Olbia is famous for its coastline and its beaches, but it actually has a lot more to offer. The old centre of the city has a variety of enjoyable shops, restaurants, cafes, wine bars, and historic buildings like the San Simplicio basilica and what is left of the Roman forum, Fausto Noce.
Olbia is a relaxing, family-friendly destination with its own airport close to the city which makes it that much more accessible.
